Wells Family Farms finds its roots deep in the Missouri soil.
Working together for the world we want!
Four generations of farming and raising cattle in this portion of the United States has been a great challenge, with many rewards.
To remain a viable agriculture business in this age we have brought many changes to the day to day life on our farm. From the changes in field work to the absence of additives in the cattle feed the changes are far reaching. Our cattle have never been on the steroid and hormone roller coaster ride many adopted in the last 50 years or so, which has given us a lead on our competitors. Using natural methods, without the chemical inputs is our chosen way to maintain our animals and pastures. The humane treatment of animals should always be at the top of the list of priorities.
Living and working in Missouri can be a challenge, from the hot, hot summers to the very cold winters, each season has it’s ups and downs. Our family takes great pride in being able to offer the fruits of our labor to you the general consumer. We offer our beef, which is now processed at our own USDA inspected facility, Barnard Processing, LLC 527 Depot, Barnard, MO 64423 660-562-7892. You can purchase on site or through our new online store ( BarnardProcessing.com coming soon!). Stay tuned for additional locations to be announced.

How can you get involved?
For the last 20 years our family has been active in building a local network of farmers to bring food security back to our area. WE all work hard as stewards of the land and caring for our livestock and fields. We put all we make back into the needs of the area including purchasing a small processing facility, refurbishing it and opening it up for local Farm To Fork marketing needs as a USDA Inspected facility.
Many small things happen during our days on the farm, from helping our neighbors fix a downed fence to plowing driveways and field entrances in the winter storms. $5 here, $10 there, it adds up yet makes a huge difference in the day to day of so many. Full time farming, full time meat processing, the hours fill up quick with all that needs to be done so that everyone can eat!
Any funds donated are done so with the knowledge that it will be spent on a great array of things, from maintenance supplies, lunch for the crew, building and equipment repairs. Fuel for tractors, forage seeds, and more marketing for beautifully raised produce and meats.
With more folks involved we can keep more families on the farm, raising healthy nutritious foods. Want to be even more involved? We’d be happy to have you as part of our community! We are working to expand our small processing facility, update parts, to better serve all on this journey. This is a work in progress, your input is valued. Thank you, Kim
